When it was built in 1842, our house contained a brewery, shop and café. The owners produced beer, lemonade, Dutch gin and a liqueur.
The building is a fine example of typical Hesbaye architecture. It has a great sense of space and it is built with red brick cladding and limestone ashlar for the basement and decorative stringcourses.
A light and airy lounge-library awaits guests on the first floor, filled with comfortable sofas and armchairs. It also has a fridge, a coffee machine and all you need to make yourself a nice cup of tea while you peruse the games, books, magazines and tourist brochures.

Staying at a B&B ensures a unique ambiance. In our opinion, the most important factor is the quality of interaction between host and guest. It should be simple, respectful and friendly, as if you were staying with members of your family.
By welcoming you to our house, we hope you’ll see it as a home away from home and that your stay will leave you with pleasant memories of time spent in the lounge or garden.
Staying in a B&B also provides an opportunity to share ideas and experiences. Tell us about your region, your lifestyle, the last book you enjoyed, your feelings, etc. This is why we decided to open our home to other people, to keep it alive and vibrant!
However long you stay, we’ll always be there to listen, inform, advise – and help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We hope to be able to share with you our love of B&B, our home and the region.
“Charmes d’hôtes” is located in Hesbaye in the heart of Wallonia. It gives you a unique opportunity to see all that our province has to offer, meet the local people and, of course, taste the vast range of excellent local produce.
